Wealthy people don't have to tell people they're wealthy.

Most of the people that mock State have never been there.
In my multiple experiences (for work as well as games) that have great people, great food, beautiful campus. Seems to be a positive happy vibe everywhere. Then outsiders hate on them.
My theory is the name Starkville just sounds trashy, but it's a terrific town.

I'm like the first generation in my family to go to college so I grew up without any allegiances and didn't give a shite about college sports til I got to college. I wanted a STEM major so that kinda narrowed my choices down to one school, and I been grindin' ever since.

What would drive a Mississippian to become a cow bell ringer as opposed to a rebel?
When I was in middle school, MSU...
Went to a Sweet 16
Beat Kentucky in the SEC Tournament Championship
Went to the Final Four
Went to back to back College World Series
Won the SEC West and went to the SEC Championship Football Game.
They have had my heart ever since.
