While LSU is underachieving in most cases with the talent we have, the NFL success still speaks to recruits. Sure these kids would like to have a nice 3 years at whatever college they go to. Hell, if you go to a school like Bama, you can get drafted well and compete for a championship every single year.

Regardless, recruits want to go somewhere that has a proven record of getting them into the NFL as quick as possible. They've most likely been dreaming about it all of their lives and they want to go to a place that can prepare them the best. Winning games and championships is a big factor, no doubt, but their ultimate goal in most cases is making millions professionally.

What about the other reasons listed? You conveniently omitted commeningd on them.

Do you know what track record means? I'm not just talking about current NFL players, although a previous poster already corrected you on that (more than just "1 really good and 1 above average player" in the NFL). LSU has had some excellent DBs go through the league over the years.
Name 5 that had a significant career in the league before Saban got to LSU.

Only 2 that YOU know of. If you're employed and collecting a paycheck you're doing well. That's what you don't get. What's the average salary of a college graduate? $45,327. The average for an NFL rookie free agent is $525,000. That's life changing for all these guys at minimum.

So when you say only 2 of them are doing well. You're talking pro-bowl and highest paid contracts, etc. That's not how they look at it. They're looking at the best pipeline to get in the league if they're not the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round draft choice. Are they being taught the things that will help them get in and stay in.

For instance at RB, Spencer Ware is still in the league. Also, Terrance Magee, Kenny Hilliard, and Alfred Blue all non-starters. None of them won a Heisman or Doak Walker, but have outlasted some who have already. 3 of them played at the same time. Why them?

And when people like you say stuff like that to recruits it's make you look uneducated and stupid. They know the numbers and the info. LSU had the most alumni suit up in the NFL week 1 in 2015. The most. Meaning these guys are able to stay there longer.

You got me there. In elementary school when Saban was hired

Saban certainly laid the groundwork for LSUs current DB situation. Lost a lot of good ones OOS before he took over.

The point is that the secondary gets exposed consistently

no they don't. they weren't as good this year as they've been, but lsu's pass defense has always been good. not sure what point you think you're trying to make

yet elite talent wants to play there. Makes no sense.

because they get paid a lot of money in the nfl, and lsu has more players in the league than anyone

All they have now if flaming. They have more talent on their roster than 97% of college football, but continue to lose at least 3 games a year. All they have left is the success of 3-4 players in the NFL to use to flame other fan bases. Its pretty funny. "yea you beat us, but 3 of our former players are good in the NFL"

you started a thread asking how LSU gets elite DBs every year.
That question was answered.
You proceeded to make it a flame thread.
And now you're trying to turn it on LSU fans.
Can't make this up.
