And if was magical no way Bama should have been able to score a TD on that last drive 2012.

So TS allowed LSU to lead until the final 30 seconds and then fricked you at the end?

shite is hysterical.

The lunacy you see with LSU fans and that stadium is hysterical.

They think that as fans they are apart of the team, and not merely spectators. Its crazy. They want some credit if LSU wins.

Why do you argue with the Messiah?

Yea seems like the last minute or two, with a lead, is when TS would play at it's best and unleash ALL THE MAGIC (which it kinda did, just not for LSU).

On a neutral field we probably lose that game by 14. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

LSU's 2008 team had no business taking the 2008 Tide to OT. LSU 2012 though stout, not quite as good as Bama, yet had them there for the taking..

Play those two games away from TS, and Tide don't need to pull the narrow harrowed escape job.

This is where the confusion comes in though DS. You give TS credit for keeping you in the games in 2008 and 2012, but loss was because of...

How do you know which is which?

TS never lost a game or won a game. Players making plays do.

Again, I have never said home field advantage doesn't exist. I can't imagine anybody would say that. But the ratio of threads made this week by LSU fans has been about 25:1 in terms of Tiger Stadium to LSU's actual team and that's just silly. If the stadium is your best bet, you probably don't have much of one. I actually think LSU's team is pretty good and it'll be a great game. It'll be a great game because of the teams though, not the stadium.

I could counter that and say the 2008 team had no business being 12-0 in the regular season. That team wasn't that good. It was basically 2007 with a few true freshmen inserted. Just a miraculous coaching job and guys playing way over their heads.

The ratio is like that because they want to feel as if they are apart of the game and team.

We're into our stadium and we're into ourselves as loud and crazy fans who can impact the game. It's part of our tradition. DWI.

This will mostly get over looked.

Its amazing how they really want to believe TS had them in the game when they should have lost by 14pts.

I applaud you for that. I think it's awesome.

The atmosphere of a stadium and its fans absolutely can have an effect. Sadly, The Swamp isn't a feared place anymore these days, but I remember when it was. Some of the electric games we had... you'd come out with sore eardrums during the close games or rivalry games. Feel the stadium vibrate a little from all the decibels. And that sense of pride when you got so loud that it rattled the opposing quarterback and they had to burn a timeout or, better yet, got a delay of game (especially on 3rd down).

So what if fans want to feel like they're helping the team... because in instances like those, they are.

I'll step back out since I don't really have a dog in this fight. Just wanted to say I understand where the Tiger fans are coming from and I dig it.

It mgiht be over the top, but Les Miles has lost all of 4 times AT NIGHT in tiger stadium. 7 Times total.

2 of those times were the 2008 OT Bama loss and 2012.

In both losses, it came down to the wire.

Bama looks the be the better team, but they will get LSU's best.

Duh. The traffic is terrible, crime is rampant. It's pretty bad for anybody. Bear is correct.

It is a fact all through sports that certain teams just play better at home vs the road.

Look at the Seahawks. They were almost un beatable at home.

Hell, even Bama plays better at BDS than on the road. Look at the numbers.
