Jeudy at 6 immediately invalidates your list. Thanks for trying though

Appreciate the background too. I’m sure it boiled down to “muh gut feel”

This conversation should probably be two conversations. Best "player" and best "season".

Chase had the best season. Not really even a close 2nd.

Chase is on a list of best players, but I don't think we really know where yet. He's in the really good area now, but I wouldn't put him in that elite group yet. And probably won't until he succeeds in the NFL, as that's kind of the bar.

That’s fair. And LSU is notorious for players having underwhelming junior seasons.

That being said anyone putting Jeudy ahead of Chase needs to check their numbers again.

Yea not sure how you can do that on a "how good are they" basis (kind of a toss up in my book, guessing they'll both be Top 10 picks)....and clearly you can't from a numbers perspective.

Read the post a few up. Jeudy did it for 3 years. Chase had a phenomenal year. He can jump
Into the top 10
But he has to keep it up

Two years really. Chase’s freshman year was better. And if Chase doesn’t get 700 yards and 4 TDs next year something absolutely terrible will have happened

Why is Jeudy on that list?

The other guys are all WR1 who went against top db every snap.

Jeudy will be the top WR taken in this years draft that’s why.

That means a team will be drafting him to be a WR1, which he has never had to be. He’s got the talent, but that seems rash. I think teams would be better off taking Ceedee Lamb ahead of him. True that he will be one of, if not the top wr taken, but it still doesn’t justify classifying Jeudy with the other names who went 1 on 1 on guys who start cb in the league now.

As good as any I’ve ever seen. AJ Terrell is a good corner, but Chase made him look pedestrian.

All of these guys are great and was 4 and 5 star talent coming out of high school but none of them compare to 2 star Jerry Rice from the SWAC conference (small black college Mississippi Valley State University).

Let that sink in for a second. All of the guys was 4 and 5 star recruits and wanted by most every school in the country are not better than a guy that only had 1-2 schools offer him a scholarship and runs a 4.72 forty and they still can't compare to him.

Life can throw you a curveball sometimes.

I’m willing to admit that Chase is not as good as Jerry Rice

You haven't seen much in the ACC.

Not surprised you’ve erased Terrell from your memory
