i thought this was cool footage. lol at the auburn db. he got straight up toasted at the line of scrimmage.
Straight up fly pattern, no double move, not even a single move. Auburn's DB completely flatfooted, no chance.

I also think LSU WR's run lazy routes...JMO
no doubt. super lazy.

Seriously Randle is an above average sec receiver. He is nothing to write home about. And certainly nothing that will intimidate Alabama. We have shutdown much better players.

Where is Menzie projected to go in the draft? Just curious.
Before the season, I think I saw him on projections in the 4th round. He was coming off the achilles tear last year. I think he is raising his stock this year.

I mean he's been the best WR in the SEC this year but i agree its just above average.

Yeah yall shut his arse the frick down last year

When LSU put up 20+ on that defense (that only allows 7ppg), will the Tide defense still be considered "The best ever"?

I don't know but Dre Kirkpatrick and Reuben Randle both worked out at Sonic Boom in New Orleans during offseason.

So they won't be pushing up supporting the run?
We often use two safeties. Saban is shrewd that way.

your right he's a potential 1st round pick if he has a good combine next year.
just meh though i guess

Dude, we have arguably the best DBs in the nation, maybe second to yall. If they can completely shut down Arky's WRs, then they can damn sure shut LSU's down. It's not that crazy of an opinion.
Not that it ended up hurting much, but Arky did manage to throw for a couple of TDs against you- which happens to be two more than they got against powerful Ole Miss....
I know- that doesn't mean much come Nov 5th....
But here's what I think, seriously: We're a lot more the same than we are different. The similarities are unmistakable. Just look at the games vs common opponents. It's almost "odd". Even the manner in which Florida managed a TD against each team is nearly the same....It's going to be a war.

stopping RR will be difficult, but the same can be said about stopping TR.....
But this is why the game will be played we will see Nov.5th if Bama can stop LSU's playmakers and if LSU can stop Bama's playmakers
2 of the best defenses <full of NFL talent> in the country going up against some Future NFL players
This will be one Hell of a Game

Thats all you can really say about it. Im not gonna talk about the game at all this week
Posted on 10/28/11 at 2:17 pm to oleheat
we can be very susceptible to the deep ball, especially on the opening drive of the game. Just ask Ole Miss or Florida
Wouldn't surprise me at all to see LSU go deep to RR on the first play of the game... and honestly it wouldn't surprise me at all if they hit it and scored early
But we have done a good job at making adjustments and dont give up too much in the passing game after the first drive or two

Reuben is really good, by Roaad you are pumping him up a little much. I'd take Jeffrey or Hunter before him.
He is better than the Arky WR's. If he played in that system he'd have ungodly numbers. So would the other two guys I mentioned. Arky WR stats are skewed in the same way Case Keenum's numbers are skewed at Houston. Product of system. They're good, but not as great as their stats say.
That said, Reuben will get his, but I really think they will give Dre support over the top from the safeties on RR and ODB Jr will have some daylight.

Reuben has flat out outplayed Alshon this season.

Yeah, I agree, but Alshon has NO ONE throwing him the ball and no other receivers worth a shite to take the double teams off of him.

Our WR's don't have stats because we have so many...I've seen nothing from Randle that says he's better than Cobi Hamilton other than their HS stars
You lose all credibility comparing Arky to Houston
