There was definitely some ugliness to the 2000's. Still watched and enjoyed the wins, got somewhat numb to the losses some seasons. Sucked losing to Au, but had some solace in knowing that in Bama's 2nd worst decade ever, they still doubled Au's 10 win seasons total in that time period and had just as many SEC Championships.

The FWAA disagrees, as does Iowa's Grantland Rice trophy.

oh, ok

LSU: AP, B(QPRS), BR, BS, CFRA, DeS, DuS, FN, HAF, L, NCF, PS, SR, UPI, WS

Iowa: FWAA

Yeah, very contested

All I know is Florida, Georgia, Auburn and LSU all have more SEC Championships and a better BCS record this century than Bama.
Bama's won 2 of the last 3 National Titles. LSU is the only team in any BCS game ever to be shut out. It is what it is.

Most weren't bama fans. They chose whatever school was winning

You'd like to believe that, wouldn't you. If it makes you feel better about being irrelevant, have at it

Wow.

What are you wowing at? Are you claiming that every single year in alabama's history that you didn't win the national title it was a failure of a season?

Success is measured by championships, whether they be conference or national titles. Nothing else really matters.

Of course. Even Coach Bryant said that. When you're great, you aim to be the best every single year. If you're not, you failed.

This is the Bama mentality. If LSU has a century of dominance, you may understand then.

Since when has the NCAA been in the national championship business when it comes to college football

We were undefeated and finished 1st in the AP and the UPI. It doesn't get more consensus than that.

Well I guess that's one attitude to take but all the Bama fans on here fapping after going 12-2 in 2008 sure didn't consider that season a failure.
