Not only did we get screwed out of hosting, but we drew our kryptonite in the first game. We are probably going home. I’d have rather played Kansas than Mo State

I had to come out of retirement for this one.

Are you really predicting a fan base of a two seed is gonna fill up 3400 of 4000 seats? Has that ever come close to happening in real life at any NCAA regional?

The 2 largest crowds in Reckling Park history were games without Rice even playing. It was a regional 2/3 match-up between A&M and tu.

6,825 on June 14th 2014, and 6,603 on May 30 2014. The 10th most was A&M vs Lamar back in 2004 and 12th was A&M vs tu in 2014 as well.

I'd argue pretty much every game Rice hosted where A&M or tu were also there had as many or more visiting fans than Rice fans.

According to this, the largest crowd ever recorded at Hoglund Ballpark was the KU game vs Nebraska on April 21st of this year (2,674).

I doubt that any team would put 3,400 to 4,000 people in that ballpark, since that would be 800-1,400 more fans than the stadium has ever held. Kansas did average over 1,100 fans at each game this year...which is right at 12% of what Arkansas averaged this season (over 9,500). I guess we'll see how it all turns out.

Finally coming around to respond to my prediction. I said that no team would put 3,400 to 4,000 people in Hoglund Ballpark. It turns out I was right...on May 30th there were 4,042 and on May 31st there were 4,007 (neither of which are between 3,400 and 4,000). There were only 2,773 for the Arkansas game vs Missouri State...which was just under 100 above the attendance record up to that point.

Of course...it turned out that packing the stadium didn't make enough difference on the field for Arkansas to avoid being swept out of the Regional.
