If you don't think this horrific event does not have a negative effect on Auburn's Brand then you know little about Brand building and public relations.
Does BR's crime rate impact LSU's recruiting?

The Auburn Police Department and Auburn University officials will meet several times to make sure off campus parties will be more closely monitored.
I seriously doubt the University can do anything to monitor or control off-campus parties.
quote:Explain something to me, please? How is Auburn supposed to monitor visitor's (not from Auburn, not living there, etc) when they are not on campus?
I have full confidence in Auburn and other SEC schools to not make the same mistakes Miami has made in regards to the image building of thuggery at the U which has contributed to the demise of Miami's football elite program status.

Really? Seemed to be you were being a douche, but I could be wrong.

Interesting that you post after i call you out.

Does anyone think that a head coach in competition with Auburn for a recruit will not emphasize to the recruits parents how safe they will keep their kid?
So Les Miles will be using this to benefit?

It just seems like a silly thread for someone to start given some of the legal controversies LSU has had. All of the teams have brand issues when people start looking for dots to connect. All schools have to deal with national controversies at some point or another. I think most people have the wherewithal to be able to see this for what is, and not let it reflect back upon the school or the people who play there.

Auburn needs to get ahead of this. Plant some bama gear in the killers apartment, perhaps make him wear an alabama shirt when they take him to booking or the court house. Then they can make another documentary.

The OP is an idiot. Is it going to hurt Auburn's Brand?! This post is a joke.

You can't be serious with this shite.
I bet the only snide remarks in this thread are directed at you.

Auburn is a great school in a great college town. Murders happen in every town/city...look at the Baton Rouge cesspool! Auburn University and the town will be just fine.

Does Br's crime rate impact LSUs recruiting?
Probably not, but like it or not, this was a double murder of two former Auburn football players, with a current player shot as well, in Auburn at a party apparently including other players.. Much different than a random crime in BR.. The guy may be trolling, I don't know, but to say his questions are somehow ridiculous or not legit is just wrong. It is unfortunate, but to people who don't know any better, this does reflect on AU..

Prattville boys need to be ready to mobilize.

No Coach can guarantee a player's Safety and coaches at other SEC schools are not going to talk about this incident in any negative light toward Auburn. Unfortunately, this crap goes on all over the place.

Nobody believes you genuinely give a shite about Auburn.

is it fair or right that this crime and manhunt for the killer being called the "Auburn" whatever in every report?
Perhaps it is because it happened in the city of Auburn? Perhaps you are a dumbass and can't figure this out on your own.
If it had happened near LSU he would be known as the "Baton Rouge" killer/manhunt.

Is this a serious thread? It's a brand, there are more things are important right not. 3 people lost their life because of a girl, right now look over our SEC brother.
Posted on 6/12/12 at 5:36 pm to TenTex
Who gives a shite? Nothing lost or gained in PR can ever mean more then the loss of life in a tragedy that affects all of us. This isn't an Auburn football tragedy. It is just a tragedy period. Again, who cares how damaging this past weekend could be, I don't.
