How can talk of Deboer being on the hot seat be seriously considered?

He got the team to the playoffs and even won a game. Granted, one may reasonably question whether the Gumps should have been in the playoffs at all, but that is a separate question.

Looked like shite against Oklahoma down 17-0 and took a series of fluky plays to get back in that one.
Got outgained by 100+ yards against an abysmal Auburn offense. Probably lose that one too if not for some helpful penalties on their last drive (personal foul when a player was pushed into Simpson's feet on third and long and phantom pass interference)
Demolished 28-7 by UGA
Now obliterated 38-3 by IU'
They look very bad given the talent level.

Honestly, I’m impressed with him. He’s pushed Alabama beyond their capability post Saban era.
