That’s playing offenses such as Tulane, Tennessee and Auburn.

Your inflated metrics against cream puffs are irrelevant until you play someone serious. And please don’t waste time and say you played Michigan…everyone knows how incompetent that offense was.

You listed below average offenses. Tennessee just got held to 14 points against Arkansas

Auburn can't hold onto the ball to save their life and they dropped 500 yards on OU

...And you actually said Tulane

Over rated defense paired with a bad offense.

That’s cute re Michigan’s defense. OU has seven right now:
-Stutsman: likely 1st all American
-Kip Lewis: likely all SEC
-RSJ: likely first team all SEC safety
-Bowman: preseason all American safety
-Damonic Williams: DL that will be drafted in the first 3 rounds next April.
-Ethan Downs: will be in the league next year. I know you remember him from last year at edge.
-R Mason Thomas: leads the SEC in sacks..putting up most of his numbers against Tennessee and Auburn.

Not to mention the younger pipeline:
-Peyton Bowen: 5 star safety.
-Jayden Jackson: 5 star D.L.; first to start as a true freshman since Gerald McCoy.
-David stone: top ranked overall defensive player in 2024 class. Dude can’t even see the field they’re so deep.
-PJ: nations top rated edge in 2023 class. Physical freak.
-Danny Okoye: 4 star edge. Another freak.
-Eli Bowen: 4 star corner from last year. He’s a true freshman that will start next week. Locked down auburns top receiver all game. Brother of Peyton.

Yeah, you’ll have your hands full. You’ll need all of those QBs talents to win. Good luck.

I would be comfortable saying without hesitation that Texas’ defensive numbers would look A LOT different playing those three.

Again, you’ve played nobody. You’ll find out on Saturday. The reality of the situation will be really hard for you to swallow. Why do we have to remind you every single year your place?

I will be pulling for the sooners, but pretty sure they are going to be on the wrong side of a beat down. Hope I'm wrong. They respect each other, so it will be ok either way I guess.

What he meant to say was Michigan has 3, round 1 picks in this upcoming draft. Will Johnson, Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant.

Bowman and Stutsman are legit.

No he wont

Or because he is getting out played by a 3 star freshman...

Very cool, well see how he stands up to the fastest receiver room in college football.

Overall it's a talented defense that hasn't lived up to the hype this year. Since OU offensively is ranked lower than all of Texas' opponents this season so far, I'm not really concerned about how their average defense will perform.

-Williams will go in the first three rounds. He’s got the measurables.

-ok, so you have two first rounders potentially. Not sure it makes a difference considering you have an abundant cast of other nfl talent around them that have played together for a few years. You don’t need 2001 Miami to win this game.

-I’m assuming you haven’t watched a down of OU play defense, because they’ve played above our expectations. The front seven is top tier even for SEC standards.

Again, good luck to you. All I see is the same Texas offense we already saw last year plus/minus a couple of equivalent talent around the edges.

Likewise, we don’t need Murray and Lamb to win this game. Cause enough havoc at the front, have ewers make a few poor decisions, and generate a turnover or three and this is anybody’s ball game…regardless of how subpar the offense is.

What are you talking about? I said OU is probably beating horn and am getting flamed in every thread for it. Now Sooner is gonna call me out as wrong for picking them? Damn

I watched 3 of your 5 games. Defense performs alright until they get tried due to the lack of offense. Consistent 3 and outs make it hard to keep a defense fresh.

It's the same offensive scheme, but less focus on 2 recievers. Texas has had a different reviving yardage leader in each game this season, that makes it hard to game plan for coverage.

Once Quinn woke up in the second half last year he was surgical. He completed 19 passes in a row ( school record). Personally, I don't think this game will be close.

I NEVER underestimate the dirt burglars in this game. They aren’t looking good on offense at the moment but that just gives them more motivation to give us a huge black eye when ranked #1

The key to not letting up so much yardage is getting stops on third down. OU ranks 130th nationally in 3rd down defense.

Well, that’s like your opinion, man.

Oklahoma completely shut down tennessees run game, had plenty of pressures against a comparable (tbh prob better than Texas) offensive line the led to multiple turnovers. Clearly the defense was fatigued from the prior week, but still held a good Auburn offense to 21 points in Auburn. I’ll take it.

Going into this week, they’re rested and I imagine enjoy the underdog narrative. Texas will be caught sleeping; they’re great but they’re not that great.

Didn’t realize wins and losses were measured by who had the better third down defense numbers.

Could’ve sworn you won the game by scoring more points than the other team, but then again I’m just a dumb Okie.

No.
No, but you were groomed that way in fish camp.
Ok, thanks!

I'm ok with opinions, but I take it for granted they are informed opinions. There's a big difference between the two.

And Texas would do the same thing to the three teams you just mentioned. Michigan has a better defense than the 3 teams you mentioned as well.

Is that the same narrative they enjoyed when they played Tenn?
