You have to look back at what they said prior to the hire, for a true indicator.

No one forced LSU to fire Kelly and Woodward. That $60 million in buyouts was completely avoidable. It wasn’t a sunk cost until LSU desperation once again reared its head.

No, LSU fans were not very high on Lane Kiffin in the fall of 2024. Fast forward a year and they all said he was one of the best coaches in football.
