There is no amount of animosity to speak of between TAMU and Mizzou, let's be real

There wasn't, until you capitalized TAMU and left MIZZOU with only standard capitalization.

The #HNIC of the Texan Embassy humbly asks why MIZZOU must needs be capitalized

It seemeth to fail the acronym test, old sport!

Giving SDS a modern look. I'd prefer something more minimal.

Looking forward to seeing the endzone expansion at VHS. Can't imagine you guys will let MSU have the largest stadium in the state for too long.

We'll see something soon. The NEZ expansions has come up sooner than expected. We'll have both the arena and football stadium expansion going on at the same time. I just hope the expansion looks better than what was put in the master plan.

Wasn't the plan to have the expansion mirror the opposite endzone?

Their new endzone is gonna be an erector set, similar to the four square towers at each corner.

As soon as they get the ground prepared, it will go up pretty quick. They have all the parts stacked and numbered, ready to set up.

That's has changed. It showed just a bowl in the north endzone in the recent master plan. Just a simple expansion. But supposedly adding suites to the west side and more in the SEZ.

Davis-Wade as well! BTW, LSU is really spiffing up Tiger Stadium for the Sep. 6th opener next year. All the seating is being replaced in the West, North, and East sections.

quote:

At Tiger Stadium, bleachers in the east, north and west sections of the lower bowl have deteriorated and will either be replaced or reinstalled depending on their condition, David said. The south section will not be treated because maintenance was done two years ago. The process starts with the removal of all bleachers in the aforementioned areas, David said. The concrete where the bleachers were removed will then be cleaned and waterproofed. David said waterproofing involves application of a topical coating to the concrete.

The replacement or reinstallation of the bleachers will complete the project, making for sturdier seating on gamedays while protecting the concrete structure of the stadium for long-term use. These precautions will be complete before the first home game of the coming season on Sept. 6, David said. They will amount to $1.6 million.

Mizzou's is coming along nicely as well. Seems like it would add more than 6,000 seats as it looks like a sizable project.

Yeah the aTm project is ambitious. They will be working up to the last minute to get that place ready for fall ball. It will look awesome when finished.

Mizzou's expansion is like ours, in that it's all about adding premium seating. In fact, their expansion is largely funded by premium seat sales.

Definitely. But they're adding a fairly large upper deck as well:

Yup, they'll be up to 71K capacity with the expansion, IIRC. Along with 1,200 premium seating.

We started with 71,000 in 2012 then reduced to 67,000 for 2013 (due to expansion) and with the upgrade we'll have a capacity of 77,000 in 2014
