Does the new OM bball arena open this season?

Oxford High's new gym looks badass.

What does that hold, 6,000 people?

When OM wants to win in front of big crowds, they travel to Bud Walton Arena.

It doesn't seat as many as a spaceship, but the amenities will be great.

Seriously what does it hold? I asked a few weeks back and never got an answer. Its okay to have a small bball arena. Even Duke holds <10K.

That court tho...
Have to admit, that court is damn sick especially with the state logo on it

It looks pretty small but wait till they add the lower section of seats. It will look much bigger

There's no need for OM's arena to seat 15-20k. I believe the capacity will be between 9-10K.

Basketball seating smack talk. You see something new everyday.
Why the hell does OM need a 15K arena? Why does any school in the SEC not named UK need something that size?

Why did they make ole miss' new arena so small?

Who wants to go to a game where half of the arena is empty? I'm sure BWA is electric when half the place is vacant

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The LSU men's tennis team is set to open the brand new tennis complex with the LSU Invitational November 5-8, featuring teams from Texas A&M, Princeton, Rice, Denver, Tulane and Ole Miss.
The Tigers may get an opportunity to utilize the new indoor courts due to the chance of rain. Play will start at 2 p.m. Thursday with singles and doubles from LSU, Texas A&M and Princeton.
“The guys are very excited to play on the courts for the first time in competition,” Head Coach Jeff Brown said. “We have a lot of good teams coming in to give us a good test.”

That looks awesome. I would trade ours that holds ~13k for that in a heartbeat even if it only held 8k.

Are they putting a wood/court panel above the south baseline like in the renderings? That would be an awesome spot for a couple of video boards for individual stats imo.
