We talking indoor track? I think we got this.
Capacity of 4,100
And our indoor football facility isn't too bad either.

quote:
The track in the indoor facility is created with the same surfacing that was used for the track & field events at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. The surface is constructed with Mondo Super X Performance Material, a synthetic rubber that provides high-quality shock absorption, skid resistance, force reduction, and overall comfort for the athletes as they practice and compete. The six-lane, 200-meter competition track installed in the facility also has the capability to be hydraulically banked at its two bends for high speed running events. This technology has the potential to make Texas A&M the fastest indoor track in North America. The hydraulic track can be adjusted to any interval, perfect for a variety of training purposes and levels of competition.

Thank goodness our ops center is getting renovated and our nutrition center is getting built soon. We can't have little bro one-upping us.

They aren't "one-upping us" now. LSU's IPF, for one, is far superior in regards to it's function. Having the walls closer to the field allows the viewing platforms up on the catwalks and the coaching tower great views of what's going on down on the practice field...

...which is kind of the idea. I'm not singling out or criticizing Ole Miss for combining their indoor track with their football IPF, as it's fairly common for schools to do that.
Both Kentucky and Vanderbilt do so as well. I'm just saying to get the most out of a football IPF, it's better to have one dedicated to being just that.

These are newly renovated? I think its time for another one.

Same with the wright room. You can't have platforms be raised anymore.

Wow that thing looks so much better than we I took a class and had graduation in the Maddox fieldhouse the last semester before it was renovated.

In comparison to A&M, LSU, Tennessee & Bama we're probably pretty poor so off course we're going to have not as nice facilities.

Ummm...

Widely considered the fastest indoor surface ever constructed, the Tyson track has been home to numerous world records, American records and an impressive 65 percent of all current NCAA Championship meet records. In a re-dedication ceremony held Feb. 12, 2011, during the 2011 Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, the Randal Tyson Track Center was recognized as “The Home of the Fastest Indoor Track in the World.”

At the the time of completion A&M was #1. Arky answered nicely.
We're about to take it to you outdoor in a few years.

Looking good, eh?

And let's not forget the "other purpose" the track facilities serve...
The staff of EKL helped transform the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and Carl Maddox Field House into the largest acute care field hospital in the nation's history.

quote:
The nation had never seen anything like it. In anticipation of Katrina’s destruction, the LSU Health Care Services Division and staff at the Earl K. Long Medical Center (EKLMC), the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, and the Louisiana Department of Social Services had developed healthcare services in the LSU Carl Maddox Field House and Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
As the crisis continued to grow, staff expanded the healthcare services that they were providing into the largest acute care field hospital in the nation’s history.
The field house functioned as a special needs shelter before the storm hit. As the epic catastrophe in New Orleans unfolded and the medical needs of arriving evacuees grew great, the operation extended into the Assembly Center. The ill and injured arrived by helicopter, ambulance, and bus.
Neighboring Bernie Moore Track Stadium served as a helipad for countless arrivals and departures. By the time medical services peaked at the LSU athletic facilities on September 8, 2005, they had a capacity of 800 beds, and more than 1,700 medical personnel from all parts of Louisiana and the nation had cared for 6,000 patients.

A&M's facilities are nice..
But I wouldn't even think about challenging Arkansas when it comes to track facilities..
When it comes to track facilities... Oregon and Arkansas. Track Town, USA.

This. Oregon and Arkansas are both world class as far as track facilities go. Arkansas for indoor especially, Oregon moreso in the outdoor.

Here is the Outdoor Track plan...not sure when it will actually be realized though. Also, I don't know how it compares to track facilities around the country.

Why not? Before the Reno A&M's indoor was nicer. After the next Reno A&M's outdoor will be better. A&M's facilities across the board are in the top tier or will be top tier soon.
