I bet Nutt is laughing all the way to the bank with that 6 Million dollar buyout check in his pocket! He will throw the last three games.

Let OU hang 55 on him

How many of those were OU defensive TDs? The Texas offense was horrid that day. Something like 9 sacks and 5 turnovers. That's hard to ask any D to recover from.

Diaz is a good coach. I wouldn't say your D has been great without him, but they have been "fine", yes.

Didn't Arky pay Nutt +$2mm to "resign" a few yrs ago while Nutt had the OM job in his back pocket the whole time he was cashing in on Arky?

Nutt is a smart man, rich as hell too.

So is it better to be Croomed or Nutted?

I hope La Tech takes them to the woodshed.

I would get drunk or high before and during work every day. Hook some speakers up to my 'puter, crank the tunes and play on TD

How about instead of 'puter, just eat a few plates of beans and subject everyone to your "pooter". It's good revenge.

Seriously, I hope it does not happen to me again, but after 25 years, I got caught up in a state layoff almost two years ago. I DIDN'T DO shite. Came to work late every day for two weeks, took two hour lunches, and left early every day.

Got rehired seven months later with a pay raise.

Meanwhile, none of the three assholes that got me canned are still there. The CEO and associate CEO both got fired for disciplinary reasons, and the third in command got run off.

The first two of those idiot frickers have yet to find another job 16 months later. The other one is having to commute 80 miles one way to work every day.

Me? I have a 10 minute ride to my office.

My advice to Nutt, enjoy the living hell out of the rest of the ride and frick all those assholes!

I have never understood the point of firing a coach and then having him finish the season

I hope not. I really likes Tubs, and wouldn't want to have to pull against him.`

He won't get the full six and what he does get will not be in one lump sum. It will also be reduced by whatever amount he is paid to coach elsewhere...unless Ole Miss just got absolutely schooled in the contract negotiations.

but tubs wants back into the SEC... Wouldnt it be epic if he came back to ole miss, then left for UGA or UF once the job came available...

EPIC meltdown would be an understatement....

Actually, man this sets up great for the legend of Houston Nutt. He's got nothing to worry about. He is going to lay it on his team like a combination of a Pentacostal preacher and a sideshow barker. He'll fire them up to send him off to retirement in grand style. Watch out LSU and MSU. You are about to become part of the legend of Houston Nutt.
this.

If I know Nutt like I think I do, MSU is going to get mauled in the Egg bowl.

With Archie Manning running the searching committee...Tubs wont' even be thought about.

If he was, and got the job, he better have a locked down contract like Petrino.
