No he resigned. But I guess you can say he was forced by the fanbase. He will remain as the AD till the new one is hired. He will be out of Ole Miss no later than Dec. 2012.

Considering his record vs HDN, I'd be sad too.

I thought Nutt looked more relaxed than he has all year. Today, he actually looked relieved to some degree and said a lot of good things.

Is he going to stay on in a made up job for fundraising?

I'm kinda wondering about how we're going about searching for this new AD and HC.

FedEx guy is a real big Memphis guy and I know of one coach from that area he REALLY likes that coached here at one time.

I keep hearing Brad Teague's name being brought up as a possible AD candidate. He's currently AD and UCA. Think about who the coach at UCA is.......

That might very well be our new AD and HC duo.....

Anyone remember what happened the last time he was fired before he faced LSU?

I was surprised Mullen had a class act comment about the firing. Did anybody see it?

Yes. mullen is a good guy, he just comes across as a dick sometimes. He has been somewhat calmer this year, I think he is starting to end his childish remarks and show the poise of a head coach.

Clint Conque could be a good hire, the only question would be his recruiting since his program has thrived in getting transfers from Arkansas who could not crack the depth chart.

Agreed. I think he understood why he was being let go - you could tell he didn't feel wronged or anything.

Was he involved in the Porter hire at Memphis?

Pretty sure that was Fred Smith. He's the boss of the guy we're using. Smith's son plays for Memphis.

Let's get Tony Dungy. He has connections with Archie and he has been flown into Oxford for a couple times to talk to the team on FedEx's expense.
