70% of OU's games the last several seasons have been at 11:00, because they have been the only team in the conference that could get consistent viewers to the game. That is a huge sore point for OU. aTm fans may not remember after 77-0
I was actually going to say - the best part of moving to the SEC for Oklahoma might be having all their big games at 3:30 or 6:30 PM instead of at 11 or 12 AM like they have been recently in the BXII.
You'll only have to play State and Vandy at 11 AM.

The negative impact of playing home game after home game at 11:00 is devestating to the local economy of Norman, which relys on people coming to the games. OU also recruits coast to coast and it is a real challenge getting kids from the two coast in to a 11:00 a.m. game.
OU has a lot of season ticket holders who drive much farther than I did of about 180 miles each way. Some drive and easy 250-450 miles each way. 11:00 games is a killer
Refusing to play the 50 year anniversary game with Nebraska this year, except 11:00 started a war of words between OU athletic director and the B12 commissioner. When OU complained, Bowlsby snarled back that OU signed a contract. OU AD whipped back that all the B12 teams signed the same contract. That was just a few months ago. OU doesn't typically push their weight around in public, like some teams. But, the handwriting was already on the wall

I think Sonic started in Oklahoma. They are sure to have some.
It's the one thing that pretty much every town in Oklahoma has.

Sonic started in OKC. Ironically, I am not a big Sonic fan. My wife has their phone app and they sometimes run .50 corn dogs or hotdogs so it is worth that price. Actually there used to be more Dairy Queens in Oklahoma.
I am an old guy. Started at OU in 1966 at the age of 17. I like good old fashioned burgers and good mexican food. Although I am more a brisket and beef rib guy, I have had some good pork BBQ in the Southeast.
We went to the last Alabama/OU game in Tuscaloosa and the fans were some of the best I have ever encountered, to us. I know many other SEC teams don't like them, but they were very gracious to the OU fans. LSU . . . not so much

Do you get to drink the beer out of their bikinis?

btw, to the original discussion. The OU campus is consistent with something called Cherokee Gothic. It is a look that started when they started the school, long before statehood in 1907. A lot of effort is invested in seasonal color on the campus. It has been well planned and thought through.
I have already stated where my son went to school and texsa is similar in that it is a miss-mash of architecture that appears to be the theme of the particular year it was designed.

Old O’Connell’s is the new athletic dorms. Everything at OU has changed drastically over the last ten years to the point I can’t even recognize it. The new O’Connell’s location has been at Campus Corner. It’s come a long way overall. Very proud to have what we have compared to years ago.

I like a good Oklahoma onion burger. I've probably spent 60-70 weeks there, working all over the state, from Norman to Nowata, Woodward to Waurika and about dozens of other towns.
