Hopefully they give Paul Mainieri the Lane Kiffin treatment and fire him on the runway

Something has to happen. South Carolina used to be a really good ball club, I think this may have been the laziest hire ever.

Maybe he wanted to remain the legend and no one surpass him. I would hope not but man I’m ready to see cocky baseball back. Literally a bama man but have tons of gamecock baseball gear. Favorite club to watch back in the day.

Guy is so washed. Should have just enjoyed his retirement in Baton Rouge.

Two grand slams in the 9th inning.

He is too loyal to his buddies. Chad Holbrook, Monte Lee, Maniari. Never knew when to just clean house.

Well guys, except for TWO Grand Slams in one inning, we played a great game on the road in the SEC at one of the most difficult places to play.

Sad thing is lsu was paying him to be an ambassador of the program

If tanner knew he was stepping down why not let the new ad hire his own coach

Didn’t watch…but did he leave a pitcher in for too long? He was notorious for that at LSU.

No…one pitcher gave up and grand slam. Brought in a second and he gave up one.

Rayberry has been holding Carolina's BoT hostage since he was using Texas AnM in 2005 for a raise and leverage - and he hasn't stopped since - not even when he forced his way into the AD job and out of the dugout -

ironically - it took Monte Lee getting The College job and Holbrook coming down for NCU for Tanner to finally win Omaha - Ray was on the hot seat in 2008 & 2009 big time from Eric Hyman and the new ballpark being built - not getting to Omaha in either of those two seasons -

Tanner aligned himself with a few of the more dominant BOT members early and it has paid amazing dividends for him personally - even today as AD Emeritus and his $900K salary from USC in retirement - for - wait for it - fundraising

Carolina outta take his golden parachute $$$ and use it to buy out this latest failed staff Rayberry hired after he fired Kingston with no real candidate to replace him last summer -

it was as recent as April 22 2023 that Gamecock baseball was 34-6 and ranked #6 in the country - but the 24 months since have absolutely destroyed 55 seasons of championship level baseball all the way back to the BEST HEAD COACH that Carolina ever had -

Bobby Richardson -

he's the guy in the middle of Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford -
