I am sure the Tiger Rant Crew would be able to help a young man continue his "educational dream"!!

big name schools buying them shite, giving them money, etc.

Maybe true for some recruits for some schools
but TM7 was not getting the 5 star treatment as a 3 star

I don't think there's any worse message you can send in college football than the recruiting process.

Penn State says hi

In other words, bad messages are sent from day one. This wouldn't be any different and actually not nearly as bad

so players should be able to do whatever they please because of what the school may or may not have done?

I'm looking at the LSU Drug Policy right now. For a third offense, you're scholarship is revoked for one year. You are banned from all athletic facilities for one year. You can appeal to the Athletics Director and Head Coach for re-admission after serving your one year suspension. Your appeal will go before a committee made up by the AD, Asst. AD, Head Coach, and Drug Prevention CoOrdinator. The Committee may impose re-instatement with firm guidelines and procedures that must be followed including routine drug testing.

That's nice. For now he can watch Bama win another NC at LSU's expense.

Not sure how this is relevant. You were referring to the younger athletes and the message it sends them.

also irrelevant

The conversation was about sending a bad message. And to answer your question, no. But most big time players do what they want. Ask Bray.

Oh and are you comparing Penn state issues to TM7?

As in letting TM7 back on the team sends the same message as, say, giving Sandusky his job back?

I think I'm missing your logic behind this post.

Schools might break the rules but i don't think its as out in the open for all the team to see, otherwise you would have jealousy issues and NCAA sanctions.

there is a worse message you can send and that is covering up child rape.

no

my logic is that I don't think players deserve more chances at redemption just because they are good. If TM7 was a scrub then he would never be allowed back on the field. I would not want my head coach to allow players that repeatedly disregard the rules on my team.

Don't know about that. Miles will let the players decide. It might just happen. It will go a long way with Miles if it happens. The mothers will like it. I always say, give anybody a 17th chance....

I'm following you now...i think

Anyways, I think winning is what matters most to the players and coaches. Tyrann was a likable guy, and I think if Miles went about it the right way, it could be spun as a comeback story.

Plus he'd be following LSU drug policy so no harm, no foul.

of course anything can be spun. If he comes back and dominates than all will be forgiven and he will again be a legend in BR.

But didn't he already fail the LSU drug policy? Would he get another three strikes if he came back?

this is 1000% correct and plenty of coaches put ethics to the side to win. I just think its wrong.

The policy is a couple pages back. States that after 3 failed drug tests, you lose your scholarship for 1 year.
