I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up passing the 4* QB Nolan for that reason alone

If he does, it will be purely because Nolan focuses on baseball or because Jones actually develops more. Chad isn't going to get fired trying to play Jerry's grandson if it comes to that.

He might, he will have some big schools after him. Being coached by your father and coaching your son isn't for everybody.

Maybe if he had the physical ability. The dude is 5'8" on a good day, the fact he got a scholly is good enough for JJ. JSJ is gonna enjoy his time partying at the Kappa Sig house and sitting on the bench for 4 years at Arkansas.

Well fill us in.

Wasn’t aware he was on the team. That could get awkward

Happy for the piglets as it will make next year, another painful rebuilding year, slightly smoother... But don't expect a world beater here. He's an above average AAC QB.

Do not really need a world beater tbh. With Hicks, Arkansas should go 4-0 OOC and then maybe can pull out a win or two in league play and get to a bowl game. Getting to a bowl game should be the goal and is attainable with how weak the OOC schedule is, since Michigan backed out.

Hicks will be good for KJ to learn the system under as he moves forward in his freshman season.

Not many do and that is kind of my point. He isn't some high profile QB. I think he had 4 D1 offers? He has kyler Murry frame but not his arm or legs. I guess if Jerry wants to leverage the whole state against him by making Chad start him, then it could be an issue. I just don't see that happening. My family is good friends with his other set of grandparents. Everything I have heard is that the Jones family is just excited he is on the team. Now all of this is assuming he isn't ever starter material. If he does give us the best option to win then he will get his chance.

You're reading way too much into this.

The Jones family is simply happy JS is on the roster, much less that he got a scholly. Tickled pink this season when he got to see the field. They understand he will likely be relegated to running the scout team most of his career here.

He continued a legacy for the family, that is about it.

Just be better than Storey...

What was wrong with storey? Your tean would suck regardless if who was playing qb. Auburn beat you by basically throwing screen passes all game.

Storey was only the worst Power 5 QB in college football. Our staff could only install a third of their playbook bc he’s dumb and sucks. He’s tough as nails though.

Auburn, beat us because of the special teams that game and our offense couldn't do anything. We out gained you and lost by 30.

Probably the fact that he barely had more touchdowns than interceptions.

The closer you look at Bryant's passing, he was really not that great either.
