In 1983, Miami lost their opener to Florida, 28-3, went on to win the National Championship.

In 1982, Alabama beat Penn State, 42-21. Penn St. went on the claim the National Championship.

So, Alabama would not own biggest margin of defeat.

They would claim the honor of the only 3-loss National Champion. To date.

Good luck. The current distinction belongs to 2007 LSU…2 OT(s) losses, which most are aware of…and a lot of crazy shite had to happen to set it up.

If Alabama wins the national championship, I will go to New York City and jump off the Empire State building. It ain’t happening.
