Where is Jasper, AL?

Eric seems to think that area should hunker down after lunch.

Also said confirmed fatalities in north MS

They are in Walker County AL right now. 2 broadcast towers in Bham were taken down. They are about to eat, wait on a friend from Tuscaloosa then head to south Walker County.

They want you to follow them on twitter to give them some road tips on possibly better navigation routes as they are chasing.

SO, if you are in Alabama and live in Walker County, they seem to believe you are going to be a hot spot today.

Apparently people are saying that a tornado touched down this morning in Northport, Alabama (just across the river from Tuscaloosa) just after 5:00.

My mother is pretty pissed off because we were under a Tornado Warning and no one bothered to wake the residents in the dorm up and tell them to go downstairs.

I slept right through the thing.

They are doing a storm chat right now asking for help on I22.

They are going to hang in this area because they expect that area to "blow up" after noon. This area just got power back.

Do not want to head toward Bham because there is "major" damage.

2 pm this afternoon it should really be ramped up. They expect long track tornados. At 4 am they had to leave their hotel in Tupelo. Torandos ripped through to their south. So theyve been on the road since

I live in Northport in the neighborhood where the old Tuscaloosa County High School is and I didn't hear any tornado and the sirens weren't going off from what I remember. I got woken up at around 4:45 with all the thunder. The wind was up pretty high and the rain was hitting my bedroom window pretty hard. Tons of lightning also. Most everyone here at work live in Northport and no one said anything about a tornado. I think a lot of times people see damage from straight line winds or hear reports of 50 mph plus winds and assume it had to be a tornado.

Again, for you folks in Alabama click on the link I posted earlier in this thread. Then click on the flashing car in Alabama and you can listen to these guys.

They know their shite and are fairly good on predicting crap. They chase for a living.

He just said 200k without power in Bama right now.

Well I know for a fact that Tuscaloosa County was under a Tornado Warning this morning because James Spaan said we were. My mother mentioned it and asked if they woke us up.

The rotation at one point was right over Jack Warner Parkway.

And about the "tornado" in Northport, this person is saying that it touched down near the Old Fayette Road or wherever and that it cut a path about 75-100 yards in width.

well....I searched "Fox 13 Memphis" on twitter and I think I found the guy on that's on TV right now. He's been reading tweets from Oxford from time to time so I fired one off.

I just want to hear someone say "pankReb" on live tv.
