Not quite , I'm on the edge of southwest Fayette southeast Shelby . Piperton is less than a mile from my subdivision

Governor declares state of emergency for Alabama

Gov. Robert Bentley has declared a state of emergency for all Alabama counties as a result of severe weather impacting the state.
Tornados, severe thunderstorms, hail, and straight line winds already have moved through West Alabama and more severe weather is expected to hit here and other parts of the state this afternoon.
