Sucks... I hope people are more prepared this evening and take neccessary precautions if they do/dont have power. Power is back up here where I am at but I dont expect to have it long :(

Well you stated you work for your local EMS... You are advised of situations prior im pretty sure or you watch the weather/news.. Some people dont. Then these storms came in early this am when people were sleeping or just getting up

Cullman is almost 50 miles due north of Birmingham on I-65.
Its also about 60 wiles WNW of Jasper, on Alabama 69.
