Our MM is pretty good.

I have yet to go to Archibald's, where's it even at? Is it that tiny shack or is there a different location?

Any Bama folks know if the Globe in Northport is still open? Used to love that place.

As for Nashville, Noshville Deli (yes noshville with an O) is amazing and one of the few places you can order real matzah/matzo ball soup in the south. There's Arnold's and way out towards Franklin you have Loveless Cafe. Lot more for Nashville but those are some of my favorites.

The Globe closed a few years ago. It was always hit or miss for me. Neat place though.

An out of the way BBQ place in Tuscaloosa that's never mentioned is Pottery Grill. It's actually out in the Cottondale/Coaling area. I think they opened one in Northport a few years ago as well.

Really good pork sandwiches.

And of course for a great Cheeseburger, The Oasis in Cottondale.

Crimsonsaint's Tailgate. It's by invitation only though.

Pretty sure the globe is still open. I haven't eaten there in a couple of years. There menu doesn't offer much of a selection.

TD's or 601 or any State fans, do any of y'all know what it is about the pizza dough at Stromboli's that makes it so good? It's doughy but kinda sweet and really makes their pizza what it is.

I don't know. It's like the simplest pizza I've had but you are right. It is doughy, kind of thin, and has a sweet taste. When I was in school you could get a medium (which was more like a dominos large) for take-out at lunch for 6 bucks. I did it at least once a week, usually twice. There's an outdoor patio and when you get done eating, you can walk down main street to the bar, walk the opposite direction and go to the cotton district, or walk a block to the cotton district grill. I liked to start my night out there sometimes.

Only one location and that's it. It's the best I've ever had.

It's on MLK Blvd across the Northport bridge to the right. Hard to find if you don't know where it is. It's behind a house.

Worth the trip.

Agreed on Noshville, really good. Also, San Antionio Taco Co. (SATCO) is very good. Right next to campus and good, cheap Tex-Mex food. Great deck and suprisingly good wings.

The globe is closed. The same folks that own koosies(sp) opened up another resturant in the globes buiding. Opus or something like that.

Is great. Friend of mine actually had their wedding reharsal dinner there since it is right across the street from the VU chapel. For all the times I've been there I've never tried their wings. Used to sit on that patio and drink buckets of beer well into the night. Damn good memories.

Dreamland is amazing.

However, it is second best in Tuscaloosa imo.

Archibald's reigns supreme.

I'm impressed it was your Soph year. I got that speech much earlier.

and not over a nice plate of ribs with amazing sauce.

For $20, you can get a gallon of that sauce. The ribs are great, the sauce is the deal.

One of the advantages of going to College 800 miles from where you grew up.
