The real question is how long will they stay once Mizzou starts getting their butts kicked.

I quit playing drinking games in college.

Someone mentioned the Farmers Market on Bluff Road. Is this comparable or better than the Fairgrounds? Which tailgating site do fans most prefer?
I've included pics, but the site said that this old market was recently torn down. Is this the tailgating site? You can see the football stadium in the background...

Nub fan get outta here with that shite. How long did y'all stay when you got shite stomped in Madison last year? I also remember pretty fondly the game between us in Lincoln in 2008, your fans were 50% gone at halftime.
Either way I'll be flying into chucktown tonight making the drive tomorrow with some friends

Well good for you! Everyone loves a good stick-in-the-mud. There's room in this huge world for all types of people including the borish.

Ozzie,
When is the great Pelini going to deliver that promised Natty back to the shite state of Nebraska? Not this year...
Y'all are starting to look more and more like the Cowboys. Can't quite get it done.

Wow, that does look nice. Great renovations! So, that's the tailgating area called "Farmers Market on Bluff"?
Posted on 9/20/12 at 2:13 pm to mizzoukills
Yeah, it may be called something else. But everyone knows it as the Old Farmer's Market.

I know it's only a matter of time before USce gets their own board, but I would like to request in advance a sticky listing things to do, places to go, best eats, etc.
The Auburn fans have led the way here: **Official Everything Auburn Thread**
I'd love to see that kind of thread stickied in every school's board!

Yeah all the shite in your pics was bulldozed. This is it now. All of the pics were taken from the stadium so you can see how close it actually is. And those trees are supposed to be scarlet oak trees that have scarlet/garnet leaves when they bloom later in the fall.

TigersOfGeauxld,
Go to the Help Board. I just opened a new thread about this exact question. Post your opinion in that thread for Chicken or the Admins to review.
Great idea.

Mizzoukills:
The Farmers Market is fantastic -- but it is all reserved for Gamecock Club donors. No space for visiting fans, although you can certainly walk through it and visit with the tailgating Gamecock fans. They also have the Gamecock Village over there which has bouncy castles and other games for kids.
The other main location is the Fairgrounds. Last year it was not quite full, so they may have some day passes you can buy at the gate if you arrive early (Gate 6). If interested, you should check with the Gamecock club first. I have a reserved spot in the fairgrounds -- not enough priority points to get into the Farmers Market.
Otherwise, there are a number of private lots fairly close where you can park for $20 or so. You can do your own tailgate, or simply walk through the fairgrounds or farmers market. If you're friendly, you'll be invited to tailgate with the locals. There are no bars near the stadium -- which is about 2 miles from campus and downtown Columbia -- so tailgating is your only option.
You should try to be in your seat by 3:00 p.m. to catch the pregame. It's worth it. Before you go in, take some time to check out the row of cockabooses on the south side of the stadium. It's worth a picture opportunity and you might talk your way into one. They are nice.

No bars? What about The Loose Cockaboose
Posted on 9/20/12 at 4:28 pm to Lee County Tiger
The Cockaboose Train looks awesome. How difficult is it to bride your way onto one of those badboys?
I would think as a polite and intelligent Mizzou fan, you might actually have an advantage over a sea of garnett SC fans.

Serious question -- the people planning on joining us for the game just cancelled. I have two extra tickets and would love to share them with some Mizzou fans. If your friends need tickets, they can have my two extra. And I can get them a tour of a cockaboose.
We're a little older -- my wife is 40 and I am 54 -- so we might be too dull for them. But if they -- or any other ticketless Mizzou people are interested -- I have the two extra tickets.
