Jimbo's insistence on running on 1st down was a disaster. He put A&M into awful down and distance almost every drive the first 3 qtrs.

Insanity, we were all over those receivers they just made some big time catches from big time throws.

Which begs the question, why were we still trying to establish the run game?

Auburn was obviously keying on run blocks and hiding coverage.

The refs were even letting them play very aggressive, and we were all over their receivers, and they still made catches. It was pretty impressive. And Mond was right on the money.

While the results were indeed disastrous, I think he was right to try to establish the run. It will be very difficult to beat this AU defense unless you can move the ball on the ground effectively.

What sucked for Jimbo is, when they finally had a decent run from scrimmage to start the 2nd half, they fumbled it away, which eventually put TAMU in a 21-3 hole, after which they couldn't work on the ground game.

Because he kept throwing to the flat for 3 when we needed 6. Too often he gets hot when the game is already lost

Mond's only problem is that he cannot throw a deep pass to save his life. Kid has everything else in his toolset, but that is why he cannot beat the good teams

Yeah, he didn't watch the game.
