This isn’t novel. Some programs have been doing this for a while.

Ah, the smell of fear of comeuppance.

Like a big juicy, thick steak sizzling on the grill.

Only a team that hasn’t won shite for going on 30 years with no kind of championship and with a 25 point loss as one worth pointing to. In upper tier SEC football, the Vol 22 season was a crap season.

That’s probably the recruiting pitch that had Harmon flip to us from you all this morning.

Good one. I’m sure Heupel sold him on the 22 season being the best in 20 years after being non competitive vs UGA and USCe as the deciding factor. Harmon is a good player, so congrats on that. It’s still August. Acting like UT is on a tear on or off the field is pure Vols.

Hopefully you don’t have any cuts, all that salt in your post would have burned something fierce

And this doesnt even mention 2024's 7th ranked offensive tackle Bennett Warren and various other four star OTs and IOLs. Add them to the mix.

Heupel is killing it.

so is Lance Heard (23 5*)not even cracking the starting line up? send him on back!

Richt always pulled elite talent on the lines of scrimmage. The problem is he didn't recruit the numbers, so talented depth was always an issue. The starting lines were always top shelf. The only thing Kirby has done better is now we have 4 and 5 Star guys on the bench, developing, ready to plug and play if and when needed.

Edit to Add- One of the problems on DL was Todd Grantham's fault. Because he was married to the 3-4, he would only keep 9 defensive lineman on the roster. He explained that was 3-deep at each spot, and adequate. Show me any great defense with only 9 DL on the roster. When there's 22 guys on the playing field and 3 of them are DL, that's 14% of the players on the field. When you only have 9 DL on your 85 roster, that's only 11%. Doesn't seem like much, but when you have a down year with not enough depth, see 2013 UGA defense, and what got Grantham fired, despite an elite 2012 defense.
