Ehhh, what?? The guy who had 560 yards of total offense, 5 TDs and 71% completion is the reason A&M lost 49-42? How about our putrid defense that year?
He threw two picks, one of which was run back for a TD (and the other led into a TD drive). Prior to that first INT, it was 14-14; after the second, it was 35-14.
Mike Evans was the main reason A&M was in that game - Manziel's passing numbers are pretty pedestrian without him.

It took 3 years for Mack Brown to finally shut his trap and let Vince Young do whatever the frick he wanted to do on the football field. The sooner Mullen can get out of AR15s way, the better.

Mullen is too stubborn to get out of his own head. He stayed with Frank’s until he literally had no choice and will stay with ER until no choice, whatever that scenario ends up being. Poor play will not be the convincing factor for him because he believes he can fix the problem. Love ER as a person but he cannot follow progression, does not see or even look at the whole field, Secondary receivers, what are those? I want to be so wrong about him and have all you guys tell me I am not seeing things clearly but…………

That maybe true, I haven’t watched enough of either to really know. Just highlights.
I just think Mullen makes a great point; the fans see a great play and think wow. When the truth is, he busted the play because of mistakes and got lucky to get out of it.

Emory Jones sucks, and Richardson looks like a goddamn Heisman candidate. It's something every casual fan can see plain as day, but the coaches can't see it because they just see the mistakes
But they really can't. They don't see the practice reps, film study or the amount of time that goes into game preparation.
To declare a kid a "Heisman candidate" after 2 games against G5 competition is absurd but it's what "casual" fans do.

This is true but the point is both Jones and Richardson have played the sane teams and one looked insane, the other looked awful. I mean Richardson just looks insane. Yea vs better defenses he won’t be average 50 ypa like vs USF but man…he needs the ball. Jones is just brutal to watch.

Except that's not really true. People just think they are too smart to see what is right in front of them
Anthony Richardson has been credited with 22 plays. 11 rushes and 11 passes. Including in those 11 are:
Rush: 20 Yards
Rush: 26 Yards
Pass: 36 Yards
Rush: 75 Yards (TD)
Rush: 22 Yards
Rush: 11 Yards
Pass: 75 Yards (TD)
Rush: 18 Yards
Pass: 41 Yards (TD)
Rush: 80 Yards (TD)
10+ Yard Plays: 46%
20+ Yard Plays: 36%
35+ Yard Plays: 23%
That's why he's getting hyped as a Heisman candidate. He's a backup QB who is making explosive plays at a higher rate than Lamar Jackson.
