What a great moment. I really appreciate what he has done for CFB.

What is it about sports moments and sports guys getting honored that makes us tear up, when a sad scene in a chick movie elicits laughter and rolling eyes?
I tear up every time I watch "Field of Dreams", or watch Jim Valvano's "Never give up" speech...

It tore me up. Mostly because of his stroke and when he kind of broke down when talking about Rece, Kirk, and Desmond.

Sports strike a nerve with people who are serious fans. We bond ourselves (love or hate) to the characters involved. I am not the biggest fan of Corso, but that was definitely a tear jerker.

Great answer. I think it also has a lot to do with recognizing and respecting the sheer amount of work and time they've obviously invested in their sports careers...especially if you've played sports in some capacity in your life. Its touching to see someone recognized for that...or reaping a reward for it.

The guy led his team on the field with a turkey on a leash.

That is just....I don't know if there's a word for that. Fantastic? Amazing? Incredible? Fanmazible?
