Here's how the conferences look now

I expect California and Stanford will end up in the Big 10 -- no way they'll want to go into the Mountain West, which is where Oregon State and Washington State will likely end up.
It's all so surreal to me, having grown up here on the West Coast and all, to see the absolute dissolution of the Pac-12, prior to the Pac-10, prior to the old Pac-8. It's gone and I still can't accept USC (and UCLA) going into the Big 10. It doesn't seem real. But, it is what it is.

All conferences should stay where they are and the pac should add 6 to 8 teams from somewhere. They are screwed.
Time to put a hold on the madness…

Are they willing to go for a half share?

Who knows.

Utah/TCU were great games back when they were both in the MWC, should be the same in the B12 now

Half share is more than they are getting now and exponentially more than if they stay.

They will probably go to the Mountain West Conference.

The remaining teams from the pac12 should join the Acc and call it the AccPac conference...

One of these is not like the others.
Might as well get used to saying “Power 4”

Why would the Big 10 want Stanford and Cal? They don't add revenue.

Man the pac is so fvcked. Like everything California based, they deserve it

People want what the SEC has so bad.
Next additions for us will be Clemson and Florida State.

The B1G has 11 different schools with logos of only one capital letter.
School Founders weren't even trying. They just said "here is Word Art; Pick a letter and roll with it. TV contracts and lambos soon."

Maybe I'm off but don't feel like enough is said about a TCU contribution. I do think they bring a lot to the table.

Top-drawer academics number one. Plus, they're both located in the San Francisco-Oakland/San Jose Bay metro area, a population of about 9.7 million. That's a huge TV market.
EDIT: I forgot one big important reason....Cal & Stanford would be benefiting USC & UCLA in terms of travel costs, etc. The Big 10 needs more schools and representation on the West Coast for them.

Yes, because where else will they go?

Then I'll leave it up to you to figure out the whole cross country logistics (including funding).

T&P for Rutgers fans staying up until at least 1am to watch games at Oregon and other left coast teams.
