Why Lt. Dan?
Because you're a complete dumbfrick?
Or because you're a cripple?
Either way I enjoyed making a complete arse out of you tonight.

Dude he made the comment that lsu had beat bama when the game wasn't even over. 3 or 4 ppl called him on it. He responded with "was it over when the Germans bombed pearl harbor". If you knew how far off the reservation this guy is, you would question everything he posts.

It's from Animal House, one of the most famous lines in movie history.
ETA: You can Youtube it, if you want, it's pretty funny.

And anyway, FWIW, BT used it in the wrong context, because in the movie, the quote's used when they're "losing"/down on themselves, as a rallying point, not when they're on top, so I have know idea why BT pulled it out there, anyway, since LSU was winning. It really doesn't make any sense. Oh well.

He said the bama/lsu game was over when It wasn't. He got called on it. He responded with "Germans bombed pearl harbor". What the frick would that have to do with the baseball game?

Actually, he responded with the entire quote from the movie. The Germans thing wasn't even the highlighted part. It had more to do with the "it ain't over until we said it is" part of the quote. You, however, went on a 2 year old's tirade about lack of history knowledge. Which eventually led to a catastrophic ....

Like I mentioned, it really doesn't make sense, since LSU was in the lead. In the movie, the guys are upset and down because things aren't going well in the process they're fighting for (I forget exactly what they're fighting for, haven't seen it in awhile, but oh well). One of them says "it's over, let's give up" (or something like that), so another guy says "it's not over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" (it's a comedy, so they were making a joke). He ends up continuing his speech, and it's eventually used as a rallying point, and they end up winning what they're fighting for.
Like I said, it really didn't make sense, based on the situation. If LSU was down by 4 with 2 outs, no one on, and someone posted "it's over" and BT responded with that, then it'd make sense. But it really didn't since they were winning. However, it is a famous movie line. I just don't know why he used it then.

So the bama/lsu baseball game thread was a failure? Please explain.

No, this thread is. He made that comment on page 3 of this thread, which was pretty much doomed from the get go with a miserable attempt as a flame.

This thread: Full of fail.
