Your all time winning percentage is .604 which equates to approximately 8-5 each year. So by that metric, Jimbo was successful. Not sure why anybody is upset with him or Sumlin for that matter.

Can someone with better math skills provide us a breakdown of how much Aggie paid, per W, in USD?
Cuz...Got Dammm.

Y'all have been bragging about your money since you came in the league and even with third most talent in the league, cannot get to the playoffs.
All you have is money, and you cannot do shite with it.

Did I say he couldn't win dumbass? I simply said we would be locked in a big contract. Perhaps your lack of reading comprehension makes you the stupid one
I hate to say it, but having you in the conference WILL be an improvement in that area.

What Aggie fans dont seem to understand is that if you have a handful of boosters paying hundreds of millions of dollars into the program thwn consequently they will be the ones running the program.
Alabama had this exact problem for many years until Saban was hired. He told most of them to keep giving their money but kindly stfu & AD Mal Moore backed him up the whole way.
Aggie brags about having all this money, but cant figure out thats whats holding them back.

This is just a longhorn perspective but frankly I think the rest of the SEC is terrified of the amount of money the Aggies are willing to spend to win and it scares the shite out of them. Mostly because they can't respond in kind.

One only has to read all the threads about Jimbo's buyout to see the fear in everyone's posts. Don't expect you to agree. It's not an easy thing to admit.

Well, like you said, you are a fan of another program who overpays for everything to get mediocre results so I expect that to be your perspective as well.

I've said as much. Our boosters have a history of meddling far too much in our athletics programs.
That has nothing to do with the point I was making. This is about the Aggies spending a fortune to win and the fact that it does scare other SEC schools not named Georgia. Again I don't expect anyone to admit it.
It hurts to say this but I do think they're going to eventually put it together and win big. How long they can maintain that level is yet to be seen but the way they spend money I just don't see how it doesn't happen.

You lost 3 games by a TD or less... all to top 25 teams.
Pretty wild to pay a $70mm buyout for that.

This is simply about staying ahead of Texas. Our record right now is responsible for Jimbo's firing.
... And before Aggies show up with their pissy comments I will gladly admit if the shoe was on the other foot we would be doing the exact same thing they are.

Frankly I think it will at some point.
And that's going to kick off a spending frenzy in Austin.
Always laugh when I hear Longhorn and Aggie fans claim that the rivalry doesn't matter. It matters a hell of a lot because if it didn't we wouldn't be spending the amount of money we're willing to spend to stay ahead of each other.

Until A&M figures out how to remove the outsized influence of the BMDs and political forces truly controlling the athletic department they will continue the idiotic decisions.
That's pretty rich coming from a Texas guy.
Money is exactly the reason Texas has struggled for awhile. Too much of it leads to people who are allowed to meddle. Texas and Texas A&M are plagued by the exact same problem - Aggie just manages to frick it up even worse.

Mack Brown was the last Texas coach who was able to coach a team AND manage donors who think their $$$ means they should have control over the 2nd down play call in the 3rd quarter.
Whether or not they've managed to build a firewall between the $$$ and the football coach is yet to be seen.

The problem is that Fisher hired an OC and didn’t change anything. The OL was atrocious and no changes made. Second year in a row that the starting QB suffers season ending injury. Fisher stagnant, and actually regressing each year …
And the recruiting class was falling apart because the kids didn’t believe in Fisher anymore. It is that simple
