Point being, nothing matters after the moment the bama player touched it. They used continuance that did not exist based on their rule to say lsu didnt contol the ball when the player had both hands on it.

So getting this settled is the most important thing about the game to you?

You keep saying this, but the question is why was possession not sufficient with two hands and a knee down BEFORE Bama touched it OOB?

Do you have to lay down with the ball? Two hands and another body part? Survive a hit? Hand it to the official?

Two officials in the immediate area signaled clear recovery.

and is not moving.

It was moving and it moved more before he brought it into his body and possessed it. If it had never moved it would have been a recovery.

Georgia has much more to bitch about with the non-safety than LSU has over that play.

Leave it to the NCAA that has rules that a player out of bounds has to reestablish himself in bounds before he can become eligible again to touch the ball...but this bs here the player is out of bounds but he can touch it to kill the play...

That is before the player can catch the ball on a pass.

If the player is out of bounds and touches the ball in the air, the ball will be an incomplete pass regardless of who catches it.

It's been a rule since before you or I were even born in all levels of football that the moment the ball touches anything out of bounds, the ball is out of bounds.

A player who is out of bounds is considering part of the out of bounds.

Here's a heads up play by a player a few years ago. Watch what he does.

Packers Ty Montgomery makes a Slick Special Teams play

The ball never goes out of bounds. But he touches the ball while out of bounds, so it draws the out of bounds penalty because the ball touched something out of bounds - the player who purposely put himself out of bounds.

He doesn't even have to get possession in that case, just simply touching the ball at all is what it needs.

Maybe if LSU fans spent less time trying to be the victims constantly and spent a few minutes understanding the rules, you guys would enjoy the sport a little more.

It was a lucky play for Alabama, he just happened to be out of bounds. But that's football.

Learn the fricking rules, then bitch. Because I promise you, there are plenty of legitimate frick ups by the refs that should be addressed. Like that safety in the Georgia/Tennessee game.

This is like basic shite too.

Right, but they used what happened after the touch to say it wasnt possessed, when all you can deduce is that lsus player had both hands on the ball when it was touched so you also can deduce he possessed it

So a "passing" for the first time in history is applied to a live ball fumble recovery?

Driven by an "in-broadcast" rules expert. Lead the SEC reply officials like lemmings. I disagree that a passing rule can be applied to a live fumble recovery. Its stupid on its face and upon reflection it is really stupid.

When Texas sacked Bryce Young in the endzone?

Yes, it was a safety.
