I don't see a schedule

No, Iowa does not play FAU and Southern Miss on consecutive weeks.

it's easy, but at Minnesota will be....cold

Impossible to tell. We don't know how good/bad the teams on that schedule will be. A lot of Big 10 team schedules look like that. ACC team schedules look similarly easy a lot of times.
It looks fairly easy for a power conference team schedule, but all we can do is guess at this point.

That's not even close to the easiest schedule of all time.

The players in the background look scared.

Probably the easiest schedule they could possibly draw in the B1G West. No Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State or Michigan from the East and both West powers at home. If they don't end up with at least ten wins Ferentz needs to be fired.

Alabamas schedule in 2011 was the worst SOS by any and every BCS champion fwiw.

Many Iowa fans are not happy about it either. The addition of Rutgers and Maryland, into the Big Ten brought this on. No Michigan, Michigan St or Ohio St on the schedule.
Iowa is supposed to have a pretty good team, but the seemingly easy schedule could hurt them.
Conference schedules usually have a way of evening out over time.

Prior to the Championship game they beat 3... Just 3 teams that finished the season with a +.500 record.

Date Opponent / Event Location Time / Result
08/30/14 vs. Northern Iowa Iowa City, IA TBA (Upset Iowa St last year and an FCS power rather than complete cupcake)
09/06/14 vs. Ball State Iowa City, IA TBA (One of the better mac teams last year)
09/13/14 vs. Iowa State (Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series) Iowa City, IA TBA (rival game)
09/20/14 at Pittsburgh Pittsburgh, PA TBA (Bottom of the ACC)
09/27/14 at Purdue * West Lafayette, IN TBA (Eternal bottom tier of the Big 10)
10/11/14 vs. Indiana (Homecoming) * Iowa City, IA TBA (Eternal bottom tier of the Big 10)
10/18/14 at Maryland * College Park, MD TBA ( former Eternal bottom tier of the ACC)
11/01/14 vs. Northwestern (Family Weekend) * Iowa City, IA TBA (schizofrantic B10 team)
11/08/14 at Minnesota * Minneapolis, MN TBA (improving b10 team)
11/15/14 at Illinois * Champaign, IL TBA (Bottom of the Big 10)
11/22/14 vs. Wisconsin * Iowa City, IA TBA (Big 10 power)
11/28/14 vs. Nebraska (Hy-Vee Heroes Game) * Iowa City, IA (Big 10 power)
Its not the easiest but still pretty easy.
The problem is most of the better B10 teams are in the new east division and they aren't at 9 conference game schedule yet.
The new West Division: Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin.
The new East Divisions: Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.

Is it true though?
Also, seems like such a charmin soft team would have been pretty easy pickings in the BCSCG, right? Easy to at least score on? Cross the 50 yard line before the 4th quarter? Break 100 yards of total offense?

I think you're confusing "good" with "undeserving".
