Only bitch rbs that can't even break the 7 yard per carry get Heismans.
Didn't Barry Sanders average over 7 yards a carry in his Heisman-winning season?
ETA: He averaged 7.6 YPC

you seem to lose sight of the fact that Bo had more touches than Ingram did. the number of games played doesn't matter.

good point
but OMac had 10.2 YPC
Let's all take a moment of silence as all the great RBs of college football history pay tribute to the GOAT.

6 whole touches more..in short that goal line stand took away a BO TD and lowered his average.
Had Bo powered it in on 1st and goal...this thread would be non-exsistent.

He needs a statue...or at least a big arse banner on the side of JHS.

How am i changing?
yards per touch is based off of # of touches not # of games played.

Had TJ Yeldon got himself injured against Michigan he would have beaten OMAC's YPC average.

You definitely aren't old enough to have watched Bo in college.

Ingram fumbled away the 09 Tennessee Game. I don't think the heisman trophy shows the player with the ball coming out of his possession

Nope.
85 AU: played 6 teams ranked inside top 19 (50% of schedule)
09 UA: played 5 teams ranked inside top 20 (35.7% of schedule)
Auburn played a brutal schedule that year. Against 6 teams that ended the season ranked that year. They were:
#4 TN
#5 UF
#6 TAM
#13 Bama
#15 FSU
#19 GT
Course, they lost to the first 4 on that list and didn't finish in the top AP or Coaches 25. This was after starting the season ranked.
The fact Bo won the trophy under the later circumstances is quite a testament to the athlete he was. Ingram produced similar stats, and was on the best team in the nation, without a single losss, in 2009, and he barely squeaked out the Heisman.

AU played a brutal schedule EVERY year in the 1980's. Dye probably would have won 3 national championships if AU had just played an average schedule.
UGA, UF, UT, Bama were the best 4 teams in the SEC in the 80's and AU played them every year. Then AU played a couple of LSU's best teams that decade.
Then AU's out of conference schedule included top 5 and top 10 stacked teams of Nebraska, Texas, Texas A&M, Miami, and FSU (every year).
