Oh come on now.

Don't get mad, I assume that was done in good humor.

There’s zero chance anything significant happens to Bama for this. They had western union receipts for DJ Fluker and still did nothing

So interesting if the NCAA comes down on them now after all these years. It would just confirm what we always knew. The NCAA and the individual conferences protect the frontrunner teams are in that given time frame. Alabama showed the slightest bit of weakness this year by not making the CFP and boom, compliance violations.

Citation of this “busted red handed” please

Don't bother. The idiots around here don't know what 'evidence' is.

An online article by some Yahoo, isnt evidence.

Wild how far that has shifted since 2000 or even 2010. And a good thing, IMHO. We all do it and probably all do it at generally the same level. Who gives a shite.

I have to think Georgia and Bama have stepped it up a bit Summer.

What I’ve never understood is if so many players are getting paid (and they are) how come more stories don’t come out about it.

i.e. former players not saying anything.

You're getting downvoted but you're right. This is anecdotal but I'll share a story.

I have a relative that works in New Orleans. The company he works for is owned by one of the top Alabama football boosters. There's a guy that works with him that can barely spell his name and has a cushy, do-nothing job that he's severely under-qualified for. This person is a former LSU player and he, his son and his entire family are from South Louisiana. This persons son was a top recruit and committed to Alabama over LSU. This person's son never actually saw the field for Alabama and this was like 10 years ago and this person still has the cushy job.

That's how well Alabama boosters take care of players and their family. Theyre professional cheaters of the highest order. What do you expect from a State whose only claim to fame is college football? They aren't that great in any other collegiate sport and they don't have any professional teams in any sport. It's an obsession.

It's certainly not limited to Alabama, though. This person actually shared a story with my relative that the dirtiest program when he was being recruited was actually Tennessee and Fulmer.

Think about what you're saying. Bama and Auburn is not only paying their players, but does it the most. LSU gets recruits to come to Baton Rouge over these teams and you think LSU isn't giving them something extra? That's hysterical. It's okay. Any school signing a top 10 class is cheating and LSU has been signing them for quite a while now.

This is true but due to different circumstances surrounding different coaching staffs and college campuses, some programs have to push the envelope more than others. Programs that don't have a lot of good in state recruiting like Notre Dame or programs that have depressing and ugly campuses like A&M and starkvegas or programs that have coaches that no one wants to play for that aren't 'fun' to be around.

This was actually what got Ole Miss busted. The antennas went up when a program that doesn't have a winning tradition like Ole Miss, starts pulling a bunch of five star players all of a sudden. I actually think Georgia is walking that fine line right now. There are a lot of curious circumstances around some of these recruits that they're getting. It may end up getting them busted.

LSU has beaten UGA’s arse 2 years in a row, and 3 out of the last 4 times we’ve played.

The UGA bark has turned into a whimper when LSU is in the room.

We're all cheating.

I just hope only Bama gets caught. I'd love a hammer to drop on them and put an emphatic nail in that Saban era coffin.

I doubt that happens though. They'll lose 2 scholarships and win the national title next year anyway.
