Your right, if that is what HBO said, then Chizik would have been informed and would have been put on the phone immediately. As shady as HBO was during their interview process, i strongly doubt that is what happened.

I disagree. A representative of HBO contacted AU at the number listed above. Someone in the SID office fielded the call, and then immediatly informed his superior...it got kicked up the chain, and a meeting probably occurred. After contacting Lightfoot in B'ham, it was decided that the best thing to do was not release or say anything more than the blanket denial that AU issued.

I agree. I think the issue here is that Chizzy talked too much, and added commentary, which is slightly different than a blanket denial.

This is possible. None of us are going to actually know who is telling the truth or what happened in this. Either way, i really don't see the big deal about this part. AU decided not to give the show merit by commenting on the show and just release a press statement. Not that big of a deal but apparently everyone wants to make it one.
