Hawgeye with an excellent breakdown of Mizzou/Arkansas game this weekend

Missouri rushed for 420 yards last week against Tennessee and put up 37 points. They had over 700 yards of offense but 4 turnovers.
[Mizzou] averages 211.82 per game on the ground. They're second in the league in passing offense. They are first in the league in total offense. They are tied for 98th in the nation in turnover margin. So, this is where they lose games. They like to give other teams the ball.
Missouri also has the 116th ranked defense in the nation. That defense ranks worse than Miss State.
All signs point to another game like last week.
Arkansas should win bigly but honestly who knows?
Has Missouri given up or will they actually try to win one more game? Perhaps Mizzou will rush like they did against Tennessee and put up 50 against Arkansas' D. Or, Arkansas could put up 50 against Mizzou's D.
Perhaps the game will end in a draw.
Perhaps Kanye will suddenly announce he supports Trump.
I mean, who the hell knows what to expect?

Based on the defensive performances of both teams for most of the season, 50 might not be enough to win.

It is a fairly safe bet to assume both teams are going to have a massive amount of rushing yards

exactly.
Question is...who has the better rushing attack?

Our rushing attack is inconsistent at best, and it's mainly a result of the fact that our Offensive line is inconsistent. If we have holes, we run the ball very well. If we have to make 1-2 miss, we don't. We had huge holes against Miss St. I don't expect the same in this game. I actually think this will come down to how both teams QB's play on 3rd down. Allen has really struggled as of late. He made some big time 3rd down conversions this past weekend and got back into a rythym. I haven't really seen Mizzou play that much, so I don't know what to expect from the Lock kid.

In Allen's defense he struggled for a patch of the season because he was banged up due to getting hit nearly every time he dropped back thanks to our horrendous pass blocking.
He seemed healthier against State and not only put up efficient numbers but converted, like you said, some big time 3rd downs.
The question of the day is can the porous Arkansas line keep Missouri off of Allen? If he has enough time to read the field on play action passes he should put up big numbers. If he gets banged up early it could turn Arkansas into a one dimensional team which is not what we are built for.
I expect another shoot out with the mild edge to Arkansas.
But given this year... we could win by twenty, we could lose by twenty, and neither result would surprise me in the slightest.

Since week three we've been W, L, W, L, W, L, W, L, W so looks like we're gonna lose.

Nah.
Crockett is going to go for 250-300 yards but we'll still lose by 20.
Should be entertaining at least.

I agree and it's embarrassing.

At some point in the 2nd half the defense will give a collective "F**k it" and the rout will be on.
