Todd Gurley is at 973 yds going into today.

Keith Marshall has 625 yds.

Counting today, they have 4 games left. Can it be done?

What about two true RBs?

What year did Nevada have three?

MArshall won't get 1,000 yards unless Gurley gets injured.

Arky's will have to chime in but it wouldn't surprise me if Felix approached 1000 to go along with Dmac.

And yeah I know Cam and Dyer did it but that's kinda not the same as 2 RBs. It still counts, I'm not saying it shouldn't, but 2 RBs is more impressive IMO because with a QB and RB they're both on the field at the same time 90% of the offensive plays. In our situation it's either one or the other.

It's been done several times. Auburn had two 1000 yard rushers in 2010, and Nevada had three 1000 yard rushers that same year.

Reggie Bush and Lendale White, 2005.

They combined for over 3,000 yards. I think RB had like 1,400 and LW had 1,600.

Gurley and Marshall have become the most productive freshman rushing duo in the Southeastern Conference since McFadden and Jones combined to rush for 1,739 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2005. Gurley and Marshall so far have rushed for 1,598 yards and 17 touchdowns...

Gurley and Marshall will surpass the rushing totals put up by McFadden and Jones if they hit their combined average of 159.8 yards per game Saturday against Georgia Southern...

Marshall and Gurley each have four runs of 40 or more yards, tied for the most in the SEC. Marshall is tied for second nationally with four runs of 50 or more yards, scoring touchdowns on runs of 52, 75, 72 and 62 yards. Gurley has touchdown runs of 55, 51 and 38...

They both don't get carries on the same play so I'm failing to see how it's that much different.

Has occurred many times.

But they could be the first freshmen duo to do it.

Because on any given play, 1 of the 2 has the potential to carry it. With 2 RBs, unless both are in the backfield at the same time, there's only the possibility of 1 to run it.

Essentially, with a QB and a RB if it's a running play there's about a 95% chance one of them will get the carry. With our situation if it's a running play there's only a 50% chance.

McFadden ran for 1800 yards and Jones ran for 1200 in 2007.

They pretty much blow UGA's duo out of the water.

Yeah, but I really don't see how it's more impressive when only one of the two can actually get yards from carrying the ball even if both are on the field at the same time.
