I still haven't seen proof that the catcher actually made the tag. Looks close, but I can't say for sure the glove touched him.

Preston gothard catch vs. Penn state.

That play in no way compares to the PP7 interception IMO.

LSU O could do nothing against Bama D in 09

I am glad someone mentioned the David Irons no call. had lafell caught it, all LSU would have to have done was kick the field goal, despite the bullshite no-call that occured later in the game.

Wow, let's just drop that game.

I can't find the link right now, but there was an Auburn - Vandy game a while back where the ball went through the Vandy receiver's hands in the end zone, didn't land anywhere near him, and the refs ruled it a TD. I guess the ref was only checking to see if his feet were in bounds, but it was by far the worst call I've ever seen.

The call in the Braves-Pirates game was horrible, but it's at least somewhat reasonable that the ump didn't see the tag, although it seemed and still seems pretty clear to me.

I would say the Tiger's pitcher who was robbed of a perfect game by the last out being called safer last year or the year before was far worse.

What? LSU held the lead in that game until the fourth quarter, despite playing most of the second half without both our starting QB and RB.

That call was far more game-changing than the one in 2004.

I would agree with this. Although the umpire was remorseful and all that, I have issue with him not being more conscious of it being a perfect game up to that call. It would have had to have been really obvious for me to not go with the pitcher.

As a fan base, does anyone bitch about refs more than LSU fans? Seriously. I don't think I've ever heard this much bitching about refs from anyone else. It's truly amazing.......
