Bobby Petrino never professed to be honorable, loyal, or trustworthy in any way. So he didn't fall from "grace", he just proved without a shadow of a doubt that he was a slimy scumbag.

No more slimy than your normal run of the mill SEC coach. At least he is slimy scumbag who can coach.

Gosh damn, I'm reduced to semi defending BP against Hugh.

I'd put Petrino and Art Briles in the same category. The crimes committed by them were worse than Freeze's, but I think everybody already knew they were slimy (Petrino) and/or disgusting (Briles). And Briles' crimes were so heinous it is hard to make fun of BU for him, even in jest. I think Hugh Freeze wins this contest. Nobody outside (possibly) OM admin saw this coming.

Petrino was a much more fun/enjoyable bike wreck to follow. The story was just so crazy and fun to see unravel + that neck brace photo is

Freeze isn't enjoyable as much as satisfying. It isn't exciting and/or throwing us for interesting new twists but rather just observing karma. We all thought Freezus was a religious scam a la Joel Osteen, now we get the satisfaction of knowing we were right

Petrino had an affair, Art Briles brought in then sheltered guys who sexually assaulted women. Having an affair is wrong, but I would say coordinating female companionship for 17YO high school recruits is worse

There have been a ton of people who have said that Freeze seems disingenuous about his faith / morals

Everyone assumed they were paying players too. That's been talked about since he first got there

His departure from Atlanta was slimy. The act of not only hiring your side piece, gifting her $25,000 then wrecking on Harley while on a joy ride with your mistress and proceeding to lie to your boss at every opportunity was scumbag.

Bobby's a damn fine coach and Hugh ain't so bad himself.

But Bobby never stood up and preached from the pulpit and professed to be holier than thou so IMO he didn't fall from Grace, he drove a very lucrative job into the ditch.

If Petrino had simply been caught having an affair he'd still be HC at Arkansas. But that's not what he did. If you're saying Briles' crimes were worse than both, I agree. (Throw in Dave Bliss, too, if we want to look outside football.) But the BU disaster wasn't a shocker to most. Everyone has at least suspected Freeze of cheating since OM started pulling in top 5 recruiting classes, but I think very few expected this scandal. Add his religion-on-his-sleeve shtick, and it's priceless. That's why I think he wins this "contest".
