Was not a fun experience.
Sitting near or around leghumpers is never a pleasant experience.

Sucks that everyone in the SEC wants to travel for Nashville for vacation weekend when they play us.
Or maybe more so it sucks Vandy’s home crowd doesn’t show up. If they did, visitors get the same 8000 or whatever allotments as everywhere else. But it’s a good thing people want to take trips to your city imo

Back during the Ray Perkins era my wife and I were at a Vols game in Birmingham sitting in the north end zone. The place was full of Vols and they told the only person in sight with an Alabama hat how bad they were going to beat the tide. Well I just smiled and kept my moth shut.
When the third quarter started we looked around and they were gone. Needless to say Bama beat the shite out of the Vols that night.
Story can't be true since Bama never beat Tennessee in Birmingham during the Ray Perkins era.

I actually didn't like where the student section is.
Sure it's great in terms of atmosphere, but it's tough to see whats going on when they are driving on the opposite end of the field.
So you have to look up at the TV Screen instead.

I sat with oregon state fans home opener 2004 (first game after nc game). There was a monsoon that delayed kickoff, the osu kicker missed 5 fieldgoals, and lsu escaped with a win.
Had a great time, nice folk. Not nearly as passionate about football but still still intense. The best part of the day was showing them the tailgating- they were so drunk and full by the time we went in the stadium they wanted a nap lol.

I sat amongst a bunch of Auburn students in 2002. A mixed drink was spilled/tossed on my sister. After Cadillac Williams broke his leg, the guy behind us just kept repeating forlornly, “Auburn wins no more games.”

Yes. Several times. It is usually the only section with seats available.

Why would anyone become a booster at South Carolina and sink money into a program that will likely never achieve anything in their lifetime

Yes...my wife (gf at the time who knew nothing about tiger stadium) bought me tickets to LSU-Ole miss. She found me first row tickets and got all excited... they were first row South endzone...I had an Ole miss bass drum literally a foot over my head and a sea of douches in boating shoes all around... that was the game we ended up winning on a punt return that went for 6 so honestly...it was awesome to be in the middle of that epic melt!

Yeah. 2010 I believe I sat behind the Bama bench where they have visitors seats. Had upper lvl usually tickets but friend had those tickets and sold mine. Either way.
All I really remember is one very annoying drunk Bama fan who was basically a perfect model for Wal Marts fat arse clothes section.
The big thing was seeing how massive Bama was. There is no way that team wasn't on roids was my immediate thought. Literally everyone looked like a body builder it was insane to see them up close and personal. frick. I was in the sidelines scared of them getting mad at me and crushing my skull in at any point. They were bigger than any Bucs team I've seen at the pro level as well it seemed.
