The entire Alabama Team has been obviously guilty of felony assault and battery with intent to cause egregious bodily harm against both the Auburn and Tennessee football teams the last couple of years. Witnesses are in the tens of thousands.

True story: co-worker moved here from France and went to a couple of college football games and a Cardinals game. He was astonished that fans of opposing teams parked in the same parking lots, walked the same routes to the stadium, and even intermingled in the stands. He said that, in Europe, fans would have beat each other to death in large numbers. I asked him why he thought Americans were less violent.
He said, "Because you all carry guns."

Not the SEC but in the SWC, Aggie cadet Charles Sessoms was killed in Waco, TX at Baylor's homecoming. The event was in 1926 and the schools did not play each other for 4 years.
Baylor was taunting a group of cadets and a melee broke out. Sessoms death is still an open homicide investigation and most information points to the alleged killer as Hubert Connally. Connally was the son of the mayor of Waco and the nephew of Texas Senator Tom Connally.
Aggies claim because of the high profile of the alleged killer, the investigation was covered up. Hubert Connolly, a baseball and football player at Baylor was killed in a car accident a few years later.
The murder weapon was a four foot two x four.
Incident also was rumored that the Corps of Cadets attempted to hijack a train, load up a Howitzer, attack Waco. Not sure if that is valid.
Not a lot of love in the old SWC.

Has anybody mentioned that Baylor murdered a cadet in 1926?
