I can't recall any coach being re-hired by the same school after he had been previously fired.

There have been a few cases when a coach left on his own and was re-hired by the same school later on.

He was actually stupid as hell for taking that job. I can't remember if the sanctions had been announced or not. But everyone knew they were fricked.

Bo Pelini was the interim coach before Nebraska hired Bill Callahan, then was rehired after they fired Callahan.

We did that last month. Fired Eddie Gran in the spring, hired him back last month.
