I don’t? Two of those guys aren’t even coaching college football right now because Auburn is paying them. The other guy’s money was basically guaranteed.
Congrats you learned how contacts work…
Now who else is being paid per your reference? Any head coaches or outside of contracts right after they have been fired?…
That Auburn obsession is real…

All I did was a simple Google search. I’ll let you teach me about contracts and how Auburn isn’t really paying those guys.

I validated my statement in the post you just quoted. Glad I could learn ya a thing or two about your own program and their shitty financials.

They certainly threw in the towel for the off-season championship around the time of the super, secret coaching list.
Still butthurt about that list. I know it is not Steele, so that is what really chaps your arse.

Obviously. Did you find any others like you alluded to?

You seem to be the expert on Auburn contract so fill us in. Who else?

When did I allude to others? I said “Auburn is still paying a few I think” - and I followed that up by listing exactly 3 coaches Auburn is still paying as soon as you asked me. What are you confused about?

How many do I need to list for you to be satisfied?

We’ve fired and paid a shite ton of shitty coaches. We even gave one HC a raise and an extension before doing it. That’s been a while, though. Auburn’s given raises and subsequently fired and paid 3 head coaches and their respective coaching staffs since then.

Kevin Steele, who isn’t coaching because he’s getting paid by Auburn, isn’t getting paid by Auburn?
I believe he’s being paid by Tennessee as well

Three? You must be mistaken. Tommy Tuberville resigned.

He sure is. That guy hit the jackpot. He’s just chillin on an island and watching his bank account grow.

I look sideways at some of the more goofy shite, but I will say, I believe that innovative and unexpected play calling was about half of Bobby Petrino’s success. He was the absolute best at running when you were sure he was going to throw, and throwing the ball when you were sure he would run it. His timing in picking spots to do it was brilliant.
If Hardin has any of that in him, Auburn will be just fine.

Technically, yes. But Auburn forced the resignation and paid the buyout, a year after giving him a raise and an extension.

How long did it take Tennessee to find the right guy?

It’s must be miserable being a bammer. You’re team is going though arguably its greatest run in its history, and for Bama that’s saying something. And yet, instead of enjoying it, you’ve got Auburn on your mind. You epitomize everything that makes the rest of the college football world look at bammers and laugh.

This is how I enjoy it. At least partially. The rest of college football can laugh as loudly as they want - as tears stream down their collective faces because they can’t touch us. They’ll never be us. The highlights of their sports fanhood will be those few times their favorite team bested us.
It’s not easy being the greatest the world has ever seen, but somebody has to do it - and it might as well be us.
You don’t have to like it. But you better learn to love it, because there’s not a single damn thing you can do about it.
What do you think about that, old timer?

So Saban dropped the ball with all that talent those years ?
Good defense requires experience and sometimes they’ve had a bad mix of experience. It happens. They usually manage to always be top 20-25 but get torched by the best teams on the schedule.
I reckon us dumbfricks on here can suggest that Saban ought to play a simpler scheme so he’d have 10 titles at Alabama instead of just 6 but there’s probably a reason we’re posting on a message board and not coaching an SEC program.

You can hire a coach that doesn’t “fit” and turnaround quickly with the next guy if they can recruit.
You can hire a “bad coach” and turnaround quickly with the next guy if they can recruit,
This guy hasn’t shown shite for recruiting chops so he better be an unreal coach AND fit,

The gist of it was that Harsin wants to run a program similar to what Dave Clawson has at Wake Forest or Pat Fitzgerald has at Northwestern, and his recruiting has gone pretty well so far based on what kind of player he wants to sign. He doesn't want kids with big egos or an eye on the NFL from the day they step on campus. Just kids who really want to be there and plan to stay and work hard for 4 years.
Personally I just don't see that working out in the SEC though.
Harsin has 5 in the 2022 class already.
But yeah, he’s following the Wake Forest/Northwestern model.

That’s all relative, right? Northwestern competes against the weak half of the Big10. How many have Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, etc. signed, and where does that put Northwestern relative to those teams?
Sounds like it could be a pretty good comparison.
