I’m very curious to see what Perkins does on defense. He had a total of 29 tackles last year in 11 games. He seemed totally disinterested in playing defense the four games of his I watched. Maybe it was the coaching and them having him play offense. He was obviously a great athlete and super fast. Basically ran sweeps with him and he would outrun bad d concepts to the edge. I assume he’s going to be used as an outside rushing LB.

Coaching and culture are my guesses. The whole team quit after UCLA and then again after Kansas St. That may not be an issue with the new staff. Time will tell.

That response was kind of confusing. I was like, Cy Park played UCLA and K State. Man, I missed those games, heck of a non conference slate for a high school team.

Perkins has all the potential in the world but it will be up to him to fulfill it. He doesn't always seem to put in the full effort. I would take him to A&M in a heartbeat.

I’m sure Perkins wanted a chance at winning. Something he was unlikely to get at a&m. Some kids value wins more than nil deals.
