Watching his presser on Finebaum...he owned up about his failure to recruit Etienne. Complimented both teams and QBs and pretty much sounded like a real dude. I want Clemson to win on Monday but if Clemson loses, I’ll be happy for Coach O.

O did not fail to recruit Etienne, however he did fail to land him. Les didn’t recruit Etienne, but when O took over he went after him. pretty sure LSU even offered before Clemson did.

LSU offered before Clemson did, think Etienne felt slighted in some way though maybe because they were a little late since he was in state and all.

Seemed to work out good for everyone in the end though.

The way Coach O explained it ...they held off on Etienne while pursuing another back...ended up losing the other back and when they went to sign Etienne he had already committed to Clemson.

Clemson offered first. We were both late to the dance. Clemson has a commit early, C. Richardson who had a faulty transcript so we had to back off. ETN was a fallback. LSU missed on a different RB (Cam Akers maybe?).

Love Coach Orgeron….he's a fine man and a very good coach! I really like Burrow and the Tigers.

LSU's fans are a different matter, unfortunately.

Yes, it was Cam Akers. He was coming to LSU but we fired Les Miles and he started looking elsewhere and signed with FSU.

Stop judging fanbases by the morons posting here, all are idiots if that's the case.

Worked out for the best in my opinion, we got the better running back. He is 6’ 4” 270 lbs of pure fury. Just ask the Gumps...

I read a story on him recently in the WaPo of all places about growing up in Larose, LA and the whole culture of that part of Louisiana. Hard not to like the guy as a man and a football coach. He grew up the hard way. No silver spoon. Can’t help but love and admire someone who is “Down the Bayou.” It’s a unique and great part of America. Those people are my people.

I still don’t want LSU to win, but he’s a good man and helluva a football coach.

You can learn a lot about about Ed Orgeron just from the sound of his voice

This is one of the most tired and worn out "burns" on this board.

Please come up with some new material.
