Lets say a coach accidently drops a large sum of cash from his pocket and a player picks it up and keeps for himself . Is it an NCAA violaton?

people keep saying this as though its not perfectly in character for a dumb college student to spend all of whatever money they have on too much car

Why don't you take off the purple colored glasses and tell the truth.
Bama it seems is the only school that self reports in the SEC , with all due dilligence , whilst others get lawyers and threaten to sue the NCAA.
Would Auburn or TAMU have reported these situations to the NCAA ?
You can bet your sweet azz if Bama hadn't reported both the Fluker & Ha Dix situations no one would ever have known.
We know the Yahoo story was leaked from the NCAA offices because there was so much private ( e-mail ) information divulged.
So , in your dumb way of thinking, if a school hides everything they are GREAT STEWARDS , but if a school stays on top of everything and works hand in hand with the NCAA , they are crooks !!!!!

I think everyone is going to have to step up their game and start giving the really good players at least $100k.
Word has gotten out now that bama has set the market and they will keep getting the top dogs by paying top dollar.
Hell, Fluker got $50k documented from 1 person. Gotta figure he probably pulled in $200k from bama coaches, boosters, and agents while he was there. If bama paid $120k for Albert Means who never made it to campus, other schools need to get real about what it takes these days to get some of the top players. Bama's paying top dollar and everyone else needs to step up.

How is this different from what auburn did with eric ramsey? Ramsey begged auburn coaches for money to feed his kid and they gave him less than what ha ha supposedly got.
