This NIL and transfer portal has completely transformed the HC's job. It would be unrecognizable to coaches from other eras.

It's unrecognizable to head coaches from this era.

No kidding and I wonder how many future great coaches college football will never see because of it. I also wonder if the NFL will benefit from this by more coaches who otherwise would be a HC in college will take positions in the NFL because there's more structure.

The ones who have left claim they either couldn't compete with the new setup or were getting burned out trying to keep up. We're only 4 years into the NIL era. Time tells every story, but coaches who have options in the NFL are going to look a lot harder. Who can blame them?

Ignoring ties auburns Historical win record is 778/1246 or .624
Malzahns win record is 65/100 or .650

he actually went 68-34 at Auburn, so .667

auburn's all-time record is 801-473-47 / .628

I get they're your rival but if you're going to bag on them at least get the numbers right

Gus is golden. The team can really do any worse, so he will get credit for offensive success.

If FSU does just enough to improve but still get Norvell fired, then Gus is the potential heir to the thrown.

If FSU goes 6-6 or 7-5 the next year or two, and Norvell is out.

Looks like i did get the numbers off a little. Your numbers are even worse, so thanks. The point is that the barn fired Malzahn (and paid him to not coach) and he did better at auburn than auburn has done historically.
